Duct liner installation

STEP 1

Start with the retained panels. Side A is held in place by the Side B panels, so it needs no Tuff-Lock® clips or Airtruss® members.

STEP 2

Fit the Side B panels between the Side A panels. Side B is what locks Side A in place.

STEP 3

Give each Side B panel 2 Tuff-Lock® clips 6″ in from the panel edges. The teeth grip the phenolic, then the clip bends over the panel edge and wraps fully around the duct flange.

STEP 4

Tape over each Tuff-Lock® clip and into the duct to seal the clip penetrations, then cover the exposed edges with UL181 A-P foil tape, lapping over the clip tape, for a proper vapor barrier.

STEP 5

Slide an Airtruss® retention member through the duct, centered on each Side B panel, then bend its end tabs over the panel edge and around the flange.

STEP 6

Seal every corner with Thermatuff® High Performance Sealant (silicone free).

INSTALLED

Side A is held by Side B. Side B is held by Tuff-Lock® clips and the Airtruss®. Clips and edges are taped with UL181 A-P tape, and all four corners are sealed.
